Yes, that  is correct.  The Federal Government is looking for small businesses to do business with and too often; NOBODY is biding on the jobs, projects or contracts.

There are 1,174 different (federal) government agencies.  They award over $470 Billion dollars in contracts each year.  There are less then 10,000 businesses listed on the GSA schedule, and they won't buy products made in China. (GSA is the General Services Administration.  This is the Federal Government's acquisition service and business solution services)

After you have located the type of contracts you are looking for, get on the snail mailing list,  then sign up for the email alerts.  Keep in touch with the buyers using intelligent questions.
